Suthers announces that Statewide Grand Jury investigation exonerates Timothy Masters in Peggy Hettrick homicide. This means that there is enough evidence that proved without a doubt that Tim Masters was innocent. DNA of a former suspect was found on the panties of the victim by Richard Eikelenboom and his team. Although the DNA is important there is a lot of other evidence in the case which does not point towards Masters but towards a former suspect. Suggestions by Denver DA Mitch Morrissy that Masters was released on flawed DNA evidence are untrue. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) did confirm the results of our lab. DENVER — Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced today that based on a yearlong investigation into the 1987 homicide of Peggy Hettrick (DOB: 3/1/1949), Timothy Masters is no longer a suspect in the case.
